Saved by the Carnival Angel by Jane Sullivan

It was August 2002, and I was visiting a friend in London. I was feeling heavy and strangely uneasy on this day, but continued on my journey with my partner to visit Sarah.

When we arrived it was about 10am and the streets were already being prepared for the influx of crowds for this special event. A strong feeling of foreboding came over me but I kept it to myself.

As more of us gathered at Sarah’s place we started hearing the drums and music outside in the street. It must have been about lunch time by the time we all got out and into the atmosphere of it all. As we approached the crowds I felt something on my left arm like a pressure pressing down on it.

I brushed the arm with my hand but this energy was close to me and on my arm. I then saw a white light in my mind, it was the strangest feeling I had ever had.

I was feeling scared as I could see people walking around with masks on and the whole energy was completely overwhelming. I said to the others that I would go back and rest as I wasn’t feeling well, but I really wanted to get away from the noise and crowds. They all said 'Fine no problem we will catch up with you later', so I left. With this energy still attached to my arm I headed back to the safety of the flat.

When I got into the flat I went to the window and felt an urge to open it pulling and tugging the sash window. I wanted to jump out! But why, I am not suicidal. I was then pulled back with a force away from the window. I ran to the bedroom and in my mind’s eye saw the words “SAVED BY THE ANGELS” appear on the bedroom wall. I was shaken as I had just tried to take my own life!

I feel the energy attached to my arm was an Angel helping me. I left to go home soon after and went to my local spiritual church to pray for the help I had. I sat down, with just one chair between me and another lady.

On the chair between us was a book and the title was “Saved by the Angels”. I asked the lady if it was her book and she said yes. I told her that I had had an angel experience yesterday and that I felt this book was for me to have as I had been saved by an angel. We exchanged money and I took the book home to read. I called my friend whom was a police officer and understood the spiritual realms. I told her about my ordeal at the Carnival and she said she was working there that day and a lady jumped out of a window and killed herself! 'You're joking!' I exclaimed. That could have been me. That poor lady was not so lucky, and I truly feel I was saved by An Angel.
